Metro CDMX Experiencing Significant Delays

During the morning of this Wednesday, the Metro Collective Transportation System (STC) of Mexico City has reported various delays on several of its lines, which has generated discontent among users. Line B, 3, 2, A, 9, 8, and some others are experiencing delays exceeding 10 minutes, according to passenger reports.

On line 3, for example, users have complained about the slow service and prolonged stops at each station, despite the absence of rain or extraordinary influx. Similarly, line 2 heading to Cuatro Caminos shows considerable delays, as well as lines 1, 4, and 6, due to high passenger demand on these routes.

The situation worsens on line A, where delays of up to 20 minutes have been reported. Social media users lament the lack of trains at stations like Morelos, causing delays in waiting to board a train at the next stop. On line 8, a high influx of passengers has been reported from the Constitution of 1917 terminal, causing crowds at the stations and making access to the carriages difficult.

The STC Metro has responded to the situation by indicating that they are sending empty units to the stations with the highest demand and asks users to allow the doors to close freely to speed up the passage of trains and avoid further delays. Despite the measures taken, delays persist on various lines, causing discomfort among users.
